Terms
The deal between you and us. We've written it to be read rather than skipped.
Last updated 21 August 2026
The short version
- Only give out certificates for things people actually did.
- What you send is yours. We just deliver it and keep it checkable.
- Certificates you've already sent stay live, whatever happens to your account.
- Stop whenever you like. There's no notice period and no exit fee.
Using it honestly
You're saying, every time you press send, that the person named finished the thing named. Issuing certificates for work that didn't happen, or for qualifications you aren't entitled to award, is the one thing that gets an account closed immediately.
You also need permission to use the names and email addresses you upload. In practice that means your students knew they were taking your class, which is normally the case.
What belongs to whom
Your logo, your class names, your wording and the certificates you issue are yours. We claim nothing over them and we won't use them in our own marketing unless you tell us we can.
The site, the designs and the checking system are ours. You can use them to run your classes; you can't resell them as your own product.
Paying
The free plan covers 25 certificates a month and doesn't ask for a card. Paid plans are charged monthly in advance and you can cancel any time. You keep the plan until the month you've paid for runs out.
If something on our side goes wrong and you couldn't send what you paid for, write to us and we'll refund it. We'd rather do that than argue about it.
Corrections and withdrawals
Fixing a typo keeps the same certificate number and the same link, and the public page notes the date it was corrected. Nothing can be changed quietly, which is what makes a corrected certificate trustworthy.
If you withdraw a certificate, the page stays up and says it was withdrawn, with the date. We do this on purpose: an employer following an old link deserves an answer rather than a dead end.
Keeping certificates alive
Every certificate you send stays checkable at its link, including after you cancel or downgrade. If we ever had to stop running the service, we'd give you at least 90 days' notice and a full export of everything you've issued.
What we can't promise
We aim to keep the site up all the time and we don't take it down for maintenance, but nobody can honestly guarantee that. If something breaks, we fix it as fast as we can.
We're not responsible for what a certificate is used for, or for decisions someone makes based on one. We deliver and verify them; we don't vouch for the teaching behind them. If we are ever found liable for something, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
Closing an account
You can close yours any time by writing to us. We may close an account that's being used to issue certificates for things that didn't happen, or to send anything abusive. If we do, we'll tell you why.
Changes and questions
If we change anything here that actually affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect. Anything unclear, write to hello@getsertifika.com and a person will answer.
